Introducing Paul's Place at 1111 H St in Davis, CA

Two non-profits with complimentary missions to serve those experiencing homelessness have joined forces to create Paul's Place at 1111 H St. Davis Opportunity Village (DOVe) has a vision of rapidly housing the most vulnerable using micro-dwellings but land was difficult to find. Davis Community Meals and Housing (DCMH) has a facility at 1111 H St that is old and worn out and a local businessman suggested helping to raise funds for renovation.

Connected by the city and working with a broad Davis cross-section, including spiritual community, the business community, first responders, elected officals and residents, a multi-functional center was designed by Davis architect and DOVe board member Maria Ogrydziak.

Plans for Paul's Place at 1111 H St were submitted to the city in December and the project was presented to the Social Service Commission on January 22.

This exciting project would replace and improve the existing facility and permanent supportive housing.
